Extreme School is one of Israel’s oldest, largest, and most recognized kitesurfing schools. Over the years, we have trained thousands of riders who have become part of our growing kitesurfing community.

As a network of surf clubs, we offer a unique advantage: you can choose to learn in the Mediterranean Sea, in Eilat, or even combine both locations throughout your course. This allows you to benefit from the wide sandy beaches and learning-friendly conditions of the Mediterranean, while also enjoying Eilat’s year-round winds and ideal kitesurfing environment.

About Kitesurfing and the Course

Kitesurfing is one of the fastest-growing water sports worldwide, attracting new enthusiasts every year. It combines adrenaline, freedom, skill, and an incredible connection with nature.

Because kitesurfing is an extreme sport that requires proper equipment handling and safety awareness, professional instruction is essential. Learning with experienced instructors ensures that you develop the necessary knowledge and skills in a safe and structured way.

At Extreme School, we believe in delivering the highest level of professional training. All of our instructors are certified professionals with extensive teaching and riding experience.

We are proud to represent the international kitesurfing organization, and every student who completes the course receives an official IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) certification, recognized worldwide.

Course Locations

Kitesurfing Course – Beit Yanai

Train at one of Israel's most popular kitesurfing beaches, known for its excellent learning conditions and vibrant kitesurfing community.

Kitesurfing Course – Eilat

Learn in Israel’s premier kitesurfing destination, offering consistent winds and ideal conditions throughout the year.

Combined Course

Take advantage of both locations by completing part of your training in Beit Yanai and part in Eilat, enjoying the unique benefits of each spot.

Kitesurfing Course Structure (IKO Program)

Learning with certified instructors is the safest, fastest, and most effective way to become an independent kitesurfer.

We offer two course formats:

Express Kitesurfing Course

3 private lessons

2 hours per lesson

Total of 6 training hours

Classic Kitesurfing Course

5 private lessons

2 hours per lesson

Total of 10 training hours

The Classic Course is ideal for students who want a more comprehensive and comfortable learning experience.

Lesson 1 – Introduction and Kite Control

The first lesson begins with approximately 30–40 minutes of theory, covering:

Kitesurfing fundamentals

Kite control techniques

Understanding the kite and its safety systems

International safety rules and right-of-way regulations

Preparation for the practical training session

After the theory session, you'll head to the beach with your personal instructor and begin learning how to control the kite safely and efficiently.

Throughout the lesson, your instructor will provide personalized guidance and corrections to help you build strong fundamentals.

Following the IKO teaching standards, students must demonstrate proficiency in specific exercises before progressing to the next stage.

Lesson 2 – Power Control and Weather Knowledge

During the second lesson, you'll learn:

How the kite generates power

How to control and manage that power effectively

Advanced kite handling techniques

Wind and weather analysis

Reading forecasts and understanding how weather conditions affect kitesurfing sessions

Depending on your training location, part of the lesson may take place on land and part in the water.

Lesson 3 – First Board Rides

After developing your kite control and safety skills, it's time to get on the board.

In this lesson, you'll combine everything you've learned so far:

Water starts

Board positioning

Generating the correct amount of power

Maintaining balance and direction

Riding longer distances with confidence

Using our proven teaching system, you'll quickly feel your progress as your rides become longer and more controlled.

Classic Course – Additional Advanced Lessons

Students enrolled in the Classic Course receive two additional private lessons focused on:

Improving riding technique

Upwind riding

Better board control

Increased confidence and independence

Faster progression toward advanced riding skills

After the Course

By the end of the course, you will have the knowledge and skills necessary to ride independently and safely, without relying on an instructor.

Our instructors will also help you choose the most suitable kitesurfing equipment for your level and goals, ensuring a safe and successful start to your kitesurfing journey.

You will also have the opportunity to join our international kitesurfing camps and coaching trips, where you can continue improving your skills in some of the world's best kitesurfing destinations.
